Marlin and Ruth are happy to have many family members involved in the daily operation of the restaurant. Ruth's mother Clara works in the bakery while her father Emanuel greets you at the door with a friendly smile. Marlin's sister Linda is bakery manager. Ruth’s brother Darryl works in the bakery as well. The Miller's have twelve children, Jairia, Kristin, Alex, Jordan, Jace, Kylie, Kelsi, Claire, Cameron, Andrea, Chloe and Ashton. Jairia is married to Steve and lives in South Carolina. They have two children Elaina and Conner. Marlin and Ruth are proud to be grandparents. In 2008 Kristin married Samaria and together they are growing their photography business. Kristin also designs the menus, photographs the food, and maintains Miller's website. Jordan manages the kitchen and Kylie helps out in the dining room. The rest of the family helps out wherever they are needed. Ruth spends a lot of time at home with Cameron, Andrea, Ashton, and Chloe. Mission: Guatemala The Millers have recently returned from Guatemala and have added four more children to the family. Marlin and Ruth Miller along with their family, turned a dream into reality in February 1994 when they opened their new home-style restaurant on 21st Street in Newark, OH. The delicious homemade food, relaxed atmosphere and delightful staff made the restaurant an overnight success. Soon, it became apparent that more room was needed, and in 1996 the Miller’s purchased their present location. The goal of the Miller’s is to provide a positive Christian environment for our employees, while giving you the best in food, value, and atmosphere. We are thankful to God for His help and continue to ask for His blessing on our work.
